Goal Setting and Vision Board Workshop

Goal setting is an essential part of business, as well as an essential part of life. We just entered into the last half of the year, and this is the time to really hone in on the goals that we've created for ourselves at the beginning of the year. Since before opening M.A.W.Beauty, planning for the future has been a huge part of my life. Writing things down and visualizing what I want in the future has also been a major game changer for me. In all honesty, I probably wouldn't even have M.A.W.Beauty Hair & Makeup Studio if it weren't for goal setting and visualizing the things that I wanted. I've learned so many things over the years about achieving goals, and one thing is that you need to write it down and have a vision. This is even a biblical principle.

And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it." - Habakkuk 2:2 (ESV)

On Saturday, August 18, 2018, we will be hosting a Goal Setting and Vision Board Workshop. This will be a 2 session workshop.

Session 1: Goal Setting , $20

Time: 3pm - 5pm

During session 1, we will identify life values and goals, and we will learn ways to change our energy, change our focus, and change our language in order to help us be better equipped to run forward through the rest of this year so that we can smash our goals. You will receive Goal Setting Worksheets with supporting bible scriptures. We know that we are here to do God's will, not our own, so our main focus is to create our goals with the assistance of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. You will leave with a written game plan for executing your goals for the rest of the year.

Session 2: Vision Board , $20

Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm

During Session 2, we will begin the visualizing process by creating a vision board! A vision board is a collage of things that you'd like to attract into specific areas of your life such as career, health, family, etc. Seeing is believing, so by creating a vision board, you can begin to see your goals and have a daily visual reminder of what you are working towards. We will use poster boards and magazines to assemble an inspirational vision for the future. This is the time to get creative about what we want to see happen in our lives! All supplies will be provided.

Both sessions can be attended for $15.

You should bring:

-Your Bible. You never know - this is Holy Spirit led - we just might need it!

-A printed photo or two of your self. Choose one of your favorite images of yourself that makes you feel powerful. This will be incorporated on your vision board.

-Light beverages and refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring a dish to share with your sisters who will be in attendance.

I can't explain how excited I am for this event, and I truly believe that it will be pivotal for all who attend. I even believe that the date of the workshop, 8/18/18, has very special significance - the biblical meaning of the number 8 represents a new beginning, a new order or creation, resurrection, regeneration, and being born again. While the number 18 represents bondage, Jesus did lots of deliverance during his ministry, and one of the people he healed was the woman with a "spirit of infirmity" that had her bent over for 18 years. I believe that this event is going to help people to focus on God's will for their lives, break free of bondage that has been holding you back, and step into your resurrection so that we can finish this year strong!
