Event description

Description

Join A Greener World for a backstage pass to the farms and foods of one of NYC’s favorite destination spots in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley. Historic Hudson, NY offers easy access to some of the most amazing farms in the country, as well as the first Certified Animal Welfare Approved by AGW restaurant. Meet the farmers, animals and food label experts at the forefront of sustainable, regenerative agriculture, and learn how to find meat, dairy and eggs that really make a difference.

Spend the day in Ghent beginning with Little Ghent Farm where your hosts Richard and Mimi Beaven will take you on a tour of their small family farm and provide a delicious homemade brunch. Then wander over to Grazin’Angus Acres where former hospitality executive turned farmer Dan Gibson will take you on a pasture walk and tour of his beef farm. The day will end with a cheese tasting and dinner at Grazin’ Diner.

Depart by bus at 9:00 AM and return to New York City by 9:30 PM. Meet the bus on 42nd Street across the street from the Port Authority Terminal at 8:45 AM.
