Join Go Eat Give for a special event celebrating the culture and cuisine of Kenya! Enjoy authentic Kenyan food, art exhbit, shop Designs By Sarah Odingo, hear about volunteer vacationing in Kenya, and watch live Kenyan drumming.
Food: You will get to sample dishes from different regions of Kenya. From samosas, ugali and njahi to beef stew and collard greens, the cuisine of Africa is influenced by the Arabs, Indians and Africans. Catered by Daalo, the best East African restaurant in Stone Mountain, GA.
Speaker: Kelly Campbell is the co-founder of The Village Experience and the Executive Director of The Village Cooperative. She has traveled to over 50 countries working on women's empowerment, fair trade, and micro-enterprise projects. Kelly will be presenting The Village Experience's new documentary showcasing their work in Kenya and Thailand and highlighting their commitment to fair trade, socially responsible tourism, and community development. Don't miss the opportunity to sign up with Kelly for a special trip to the Cultural Festival in Lamu, Kenya in conjunction with Go Eat Give in November 2013.
