Host: Francesc Bach is an Entrepreneur, Executive MBA with 15+ years of experience in financial and management positions. He founded Barcelona Ventures, a cross-border accelerator for European tech startups looking for funding in the US.

Moderator: Steve Lamont is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been working with startups for the past 16 years as an investor, advisor, executive, and founder. His career has focused on strategy and marketing for global technology companies. He is currently a Board Director at Sand Hill Angels, a large, 21-year-old angel group in Silicon Valley.


Alfonso de la Nuez is the Co-Founder & Co-CEO at UserZoom, the ​User Experience Insights company. With their product and services, they help Businesses get the insights they need to deliver great digital experiences. He and his co-founders bootstrapped it out of Spain, but quickly moved to Silicon Valley to roll out the US market. In 7 years, they scaled to $15M in revenue AND were profitable, with only $1.7M investment. They were able to penetrate the Enterprise market and land accounts such as Google, IBM, eBay, State Farm, Citi, UPS and many other F500, and across 15 countries. They raised $34M from Silicon Valley investors in 2015.

Robert Janssen is an accomplished Entrepreneur and Senior Executive with 30+ years of successful cross-border business development in IT, Education, Energy, and Retail sectors. Leveraging his experience and cultural awareness by guiding startups and scaleups through acceleration & internationalization, he is a valuable asset for companies with a global focus because of his unique acumen in understanding how business culture differences impact desired outcomes.

Craig Adams is an Experienced Owner / Entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of helping companies grow in a variety of industries with over 30 years of technology management expertise. He is a strong business development professional with a Master's degree focused in International Relations and Affairs from Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals.

Rick Lazansky is a serial entrepreneur, active investor, and coach of many startups. Rick was inspired to start Silicon Catalyst by the growth of software startups, supported by incubators, accelerators, and open source software, and the need for ‘hard’ technologies to have the same level of ecosystem support. Rick has invested in more than 40 startups as an angel investor with Sand Hill Angels and as an LP in several venture funds. He had coached startup projects and classes at Stanford, Carnegie Mellon University, UC Santa Cruz and Berkeley.
