We are hosting our Thrird annual 1 day street festival within the boundaries of Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard (7th Avenue) and Frederick Douglass Boulevard (8th Avenue) on 116 street on July 15th, 2016 between the hours of 10am – 7pm.

The street festival will take place within the boundaries of Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard (7th Avenue) and Frederick Douglass Boulevard (Eighth Avenue) on 116th street on July 15th in the year 2017 between the hours of 10am – 7pm.

Parameters and Scope

The Street festival among other things be a celebration of the city’s African diversity with excellent displays of the unique goods and services provided by African & Caribbean merchants on 116th street and throughout the NYC metro area.

We will also have two pavilions (2) showcasing dance, art, music and dress from various regions throughout Africa and the Caribbean with direct participation from the African community & Cultural groups, consulates and embassies from the city’s five boroughs.

Preference has been given to African Merchants in the city of New York for space during the event on a first come, first served basis. All merchants, vendors, and services entities would be required to be licensed and have valid permits by the applicable agencies in the City of New York for selling, promotion, solicitation, and delivery of their goods and services.

Take the A,C trains to 116th street or the 2,3 trains to 116th street and walk 1 block west.

What's the refund policy?

to attend the event is free. Go Africa Tickets are only good a Go Africa vendors for Food & Drink and particpating Merchants. No refunds will be granted or honored after the event ends at 7pm on 7/15/2017

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

If you have purchased Go Africa Tickets, please be prepared to show the purchase via eventbrite app on your mobile device. we will have a printout of all purchases at the event.

What are Go Africa Tickets?

Go Africa Tickets allow you to have a cashless experience by purchsing your ticket for food & drinks in advance.

Go Africa Tickets are good for Food & Drinks at Go Africa merchants only Tickets are issued on site during the day of the event in $1.00 & $5.00 denominations Good only on 7/15/2017 from 10am -7pm no refunds will be issues for tickets held after the event time & date.

Yes! we will be accepting credit cards via Square using Smart Chip

We will accepting all major Credit Cards for the following purchases:

  • All Go Africa vendors for Food & Beverages (Coffee,Tea, Wine, Beer, water, etc).

  • All Go Africa vendors for Beer & Wine

  • Purchase of Go Africa Tickets ( tickets will be in issued in denominations of $1.00 & $5.00) Go Africa Tickets will be accepted

  • All Credit cards transactions will be conducted with EMV Chip readers to ensure all transactions are secure and safe

What's the refund policy for tent rentals by vendors?

For vendors that have purchased a tent rental, these vendors should also arrive between 8am -9am on 07/15/2017 to claim their reserved tent. Any individual/ organization arriving after this time will be placed in queue and placed at the next available tent space if such tent spaces are available. If none are available, no refunds will be provided for the tent rental.
