The Tweet House gang is returning to Comic-Con, and thanks to our partners at General Motors and Sphero, we are excited to be hosting #Tweethouse #GMRobotParty, an intimate gathering of 150 of your fellow robot enthusiasts along with examples of the best in commercial, science fiction and space-based robotics.
Please join us and our special guest Brent Spiner
As the beloved android “Data” on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Brent Spiner inspired a generation of robot creators and designers. Brent will be on hand to meet and mingle with our guests. In order to facilitate the flow of the party he will not be signing autographs, but as always, Steve B is more than eager to sign any memorabilia (or body parts) guests want to bring.
Not only will partiers be treated to award-winning craft beers, but as a #SDCC first, Baxter, an autonomous humanoid robot from Rethink Robotics will be pouring for our guests.
Other robotic demos include:
Marty Linn, (GM's Principal Engineer of Robotics) will show Robo-Glove, a GM and NASA designed power-assisted glove for astronauts • Ross Ingram (Community Manager for Sphero) will provide a sneak preview of their newest robot, “Ollie” • Jason Crusan (Director, Advanced Exploration Systems Division at NASA), will demo their space-based SPHERES robot.
* 2 8oz pours of any beer
* Appetizers: Hummus and cracker-bread • Warm pretzels • Various flatbreads
