Description

The Library of Congress presents

Gloria Gaynor Life: Disco Dance Party

In association with Brightest Young Things and The Recording Academy

The Library of Congress opens the doors of the Thomas Jefferson Building for Gloria Gaynor Live: Disco Dance Party, a celebration of disco culture, music, dance and fashion, as told by the national collections. Gloria Gaynor and her band kick off the night with a one-night-only show commemorating the induction of "I Will Survive" into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry. After the concert, dance the night away to DJ Mike Simonetti and DJ Adrian Loving in one of the nation's architectural marvels, explore the Library's unrivaled collections with a special collections display in the Main Reading Room and special exhibitions, practice your Silent Disco skills, and celebrate America's national library in style. Attendees are invited to wear Disco or 1970s attire.
