Event description

Description

Do you dream of being an entrepreneur, working in a startup or being an intrapreneur in a big corporation?

The Global Startup School is a unique combination of a business school, an accelerator and a co-working space. You can come without a business idea or even the desire to own a business. We help you discover your passion, develop your talents and achieve your goals. By combining the traditional business school model of lectures and seminars with the lean startup, hands-on model of incubators and accelerators, you will learn the skills and knowledge to either launch your own business, work in a startup or work as an innovator for a big business.

Pitch Day!

In every course, our students will participate in a pitch day where we show off their talents. We give our student entrepreneurs and business leaders the opportunity to test their business and product concepts on real-world, experienced business owners and investors. In every round of pitching, you will get valuable feedback and presentation experience.

Special Guests will join us in this session as "Dragons/Sharks"

Tania Lo - Social Impact Entrepreneur - Tandem Accounting Group Ltd.

Reid Hemsing - President at Two Wheel Gear

Hayley Woodin - Multimedia Journalist at Business in Vancouver

Special Guest - Sam Thiara

You will also have the opportunity to listen to Sam Thiara, our guest speaker. He will share his experience on amazing topics

- Developing your personal brand;

- Building long-lasting relationships;

- Understanding the value proposition of self and your idea; and

- Then putting it all together for the art of the pitch
