Global Perspectives: Instructional Strategies for the Needs of ALL Students

This conference is designed to enhance global perspectives and engage the global community in the critical area of special education and inclusion around the world. Participants will engage in interactive and collaborative activities, share new research, discuss current policies, and explore culturally responsive practices. The conference is ideal for anyone interested in how to better support the needs of today’s diverse classrooms. Participants can earn recertification points per licensure requirements while building knowledge, skills, and abilities.
The conference will have four different strands:
Strand 1: Supporting Culturally Responsive-Practices for the Globally Inclusive Classroom
Strand 2: Best practices in Teacher Education to support all learners here and abroad
Strand 3: Leadership in International Teaching and Education (LITE)
Strand 4: Global Perspectives: Inclusive Strategies for ALL Learners

What is included in the rate? The rate includes a 2-day conference with continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments. Additional options for campus lodging, social events and excursions will be available for a separate fee.
What are the options for lodging? We are offering on-site lodging in our renovated campus dorms. A single dorm is available for $65 per night and a double room is available for $99 per night. The rooms will be available for check-in Friday morning and check-out on Sunday morning by 11am.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? The conference will be held in Rowley Hall, at Marymount University, 2807 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, VA. There is parking available on-site. In addition, there will be a shuttle provided to and from the Ballston Metro Station.
