Event description

Description

Welcome to the Global Movement Network’s official launching party!

GMN was created as a way to bridge the yoga, arts and healing communities with frontline, direct action, environmental activists.

As climate catastrophe and environmental justice looms over our heads, how can we come together and support solutions? The slow shift (the relentless work it takes to find inner peace, to dismantle ways of thinking and being that keep us trapped in an endless pursuit of ‘‘ more” ) is absolutely necessary to build a resilient and kind future. However— its too slow! That’s why we need to also place real value and support those people on the frontlines who are working toward protecting wildlife, oceans, water, trees, animals, protecting communities, protecting humanity.

Diana Oppenheim, founder of the network and her co-creators will share the concept, how it works, and how easy it is to be involved.

You will hear from indigenous led, front line activists from the so-called Texas/Mexico border as well as from land and water protectors in the bayous of Louisiana.

Come learn how easy it is to make a small shift that will have big, real impact in the fight for justice.

Free to attend, all are welcome. Free (vegan & gluten free) food and drinks.

There is a flight of stairs you need to walk up to get to the space.
