What are the Prizes?
Google Grand Prize: Top Secret, but it's good (it's Google!)
digitalundivided's Developer Choice Prize: $500 for the team with the best hack as judged by your peers.
Pearson Prize: $350 for the most awesome use of the Pearson App
Newbie Prize: Raspberry Pis for the best app designed by a team with at least one hackathon newbie
Entertain Us Prize: $25 AWS giftcards to every person on the team that gives the most entertaining pitch.
Meet our Judges
Participants will be judged using the following criteria:
Design/UX - Is the application polished, visually appealing, and easy to use?
Effective Use of Partner APIs - how well does the app use sponsor APIs in solving a problem faced in urban america.
Creativity- Does the app provide a creative solution to the problem?
Utility in an Urban Environment - Does the app provide a solution to a problem(s) present in urban communities?
Meet Our Mentors
- In order to participate, you must register online at our event page. You must be a legal resident/citizen of the US in order to participate. YOU MUST BE IN PHYSICAL ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT.
- All eligible apps must be submitted via The Global Mobile Hack’s Hackerleague page no later than 9:00 AM on October 6th, 2013.
- Teams MUST present their app on Sunday October 5th, 2013 in order to be eligible for prizes.
- All teams will have 2 minutes to present their apps to the team of judges and judges will score their apps based on the judging criteria.

When & Where
digitalundivided’s (DID) mission is to foster economic growth and empowerment in communities through training and supporting Black and Latina women entrepreneurs. DID uses technology and innovation as the tool to achieve our mission. The cornerstone of our work is the BIG Incubator program (BIG), a 12-week business incubator program for startups led by Black and Latina women. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta’s Hurt Building, BIG provides a structured curriculum focused on developing sustainable businesses, mentorship by top leaders, opportunities to pitch directly to investors, and direct access to funding. BIG is a winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2015-2016 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition
