What is the date and location where the Symposium will take place?

The symposium will take place at the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel on 10-12 May 2022.

Will there be a virtual option?

Yes, the sessions will be available to virtual participants via livestream on Zoom. A link will be sent to those who registered for the event and selected the virtual option.

Will there be a welcome reception?

There will be a meet and greet no-host Social on Monday May 9th at the venue bar, "SIP Bar and Lounge"

Is this event or its livestream accessible to the general public?

Only those who have registered for a Virtual or In-Person ticket via this Eventbrite page will be able to attend the event in person or access the livestream link. We request that ticketholders do not share the livestream link with the general public, or with individuals and organizations that have not been approved by the United States Coast Guard.

What are the COVID protocols and/or guidelines for attending?

The Global Marine Transportation System (MTS) Cybersecurity Symposium will follow the State of California’s COVID policy. It is encouraged that in-person attendees are fully vaccinated and take additional precautions such as wearing a face covering and frequent hand washing.

How do I register for the Symposium?

You can register to attend in person or virtually by using the Tickets button at the top of this page.

What is the cost of the Symposium?

The Symposium is free to attend. In-person attendees are responsible for securing their own transportation and accommodations.

Are meals included with my registration?

Please note that lunch will not be provided during the Symposium. However, many restaurant options are available at walking distance from the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel, such as L'Opera Ristorante, George's Greek Cafe, and Pier 76 Fish Grill.

Are there any recommended accommodations?

Attendees may secure accommodations at the MTS Symposium venue (Renaissance Long Beach Hotel) or at any of several hotel options near the venue.

Parking Options

The Rennaissance Long Beach Hotel offers on-site parking at a Daily Rate of $38 or Hourly Rate of $10.

Accessibility Information

The Rennaissance Long Beach Hotel main entrance, as well as the entrances to the business center, fitness center, onsite pool area, and meeting spaces, all have wheelchair-accessible routes from the public entrance.

Service animals are welcome. Elevators and accessible guest rooms are also available throughout the property.
