Description

EAT-Lancet Commission Launch on Food, Planet, Health

Can we feed a future population of 10 billion people a healthy diet within planetary boundaries?

To answer this question, EAT gathered 37 of the planet’s foremost experts who, for the first time ever, propose scientific targets for what constitutes a healthy diet from a sustainable food system.

We are thrilled to invite you to the global launch of the report of the EAT-Lancet Commission on Food, Planet, Health.

It will be presented by the CEO of EAT, Dr Sandro Demaio. The findings will further be expressed through an animated film, an interview with the producer of the War on Waste, Craig Reucassel, and a panel debate moderated by Danielle Nierenberg, Founder and CEO of Food Tank. The session will conclude with insights from Dr David Nabarro, Curator of Food Systems Dialogue.

More speakers are to be released over the coming days.

Who is EAT?

EAT is an international non-profit organization, based in Oslo, Norway and founded by the Stordalen Foundation, Wellcome Trust and Stockholm Resilience Centre. EAT’s vision is a far and sustainable global food system for healthy people, planet and animals – leaving no one behind.

How do I get a ticket?

You must claim a ticket as spaces are LIMITED!

  • You may pre-purchase a "picnic dinner" by the Social Food Project which includes two kinds of local cheese, bread roll, dip, vegetables, pickles, and fresh fruit, for one person ($20) or for two people ($35).

As part of the ticket registration, we have a series of questions that will help us understand who will be attending.

  • Please ensure that questions are answered by the individual ticket holder.

What is festival21?

What's in the program?

festival21 includes an all-day Main Program supported by workshops, masterclasses, performances and delicious food from local social enterprises.

The Main Program is a ticketed event and a separate ticket is required for EACH session.

The workshops and masterclasses will be held across three spaces.
