This is the second in a series of workshops looking at the concept of climate justice. This workshop explores issues of material and energy consumption in the UK and the Global North more broadly. We will look at how unequal patterns of consumption and exchange drive global environmental, social, and economic inequalities. The session will then critically examine the concept of economic growth, and the barriers it presents to embedding considerations of justice in the UK’s response to the climate crisis.

Although this workshop builds upon material in the previous workshop, it is not necessary to have attended the previous workshop to join this session. These workshops will focus on issues of climate justice.
