The Global Investigative Journalism Conference (GIJC) is the world’s largest international gathering of investigative and data journalists. Called “The World Expo of Muckraking,” the conferences have brought together over 10,000 of the globe’s most enterprising people in media since 2001.

#GIJC23 is co-hosted by the Global Investigative Journalism Network, Fojo Media Institute at Linnaeus University, and Föreningen Grävande Journalister.

We expect more than 2,000 journalists to attend over 150 expert panels, workshops, and networking sessions. Here's a chance to learn from the best in the business — winners of the Pulitzer Prize and other top awards, pioneers of data journalism, and fearless investigators who have exposed corruption and abuses of power almost everywhere.

The conference fee includes: full access to all panels, workshops and special sessions, lunches during conference days, a cocktail reception, and a gala dinner. The #GIJC23 website will answer your questions on program, accommodation, transport, and more.

Your conference registration does not confirm attendance. To attend, you must be a professional journalist or an employee of a nonprofit, NGO, or educational organization, or its equivalent, that actively works in support of investigative reporting and related data journalism. For security reasons, all applications will be reviewed and verified to determine eligibility. Non-journalists can get approval to attend by writing to GIJC23@gijn.org.

Anti-Discrimination and Harassment

The Global Investigative Journalism Conference is a strong believer in diversity and welcomes participants regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, or disability. Discrimination, sexual harassment, or other inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated and will be grounds for expulsion from the conference.

#GIJC23 Code of Conduct

By registering, you are agreeing to the #GIJC23 Code of Conduct.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be sent via email to GIJC23@gijn.org. Until August 19 tickets will be fully refunded, except for Eventbrite's processing fees. After that date, requests for refunds will be considered on a case by case basis. Donations to GIJN are non-refundable.
