Event description

Description

The conference was initiated in 2009 by Dr. Lorelei Silverman and Dr. Rosalind Silverman. The initial conference on Models of Human Diseases was supported by a CIHR grant and it was the first ever conference in Canada to be held both onsite and online.
The 2018 conference's theme is global health and global medical education. The conference's aim is to create a global network that promotes exchange of information in medicine, to highlight the most advanced complex case management strategies available, and to enable specialists and trainees from around the globe to share information and keep up to date with developments in the field. It will also give participants a perspective on the importance of global medical education, and bring together representatives of the premier universities whose focus is on international medical education. It is designed to provide our new health care professionals further means to meet the global challenges of the 21st century.
The conference is run exclusively by volunteers and is designed as a tool for creating leadership, teamwork, communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills. Our team of volunteers range from high school students to clinicians, pre-medical students to CEOs, and international medical graduates to students in the health care field.
