2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit: Global Entrepreneurship in the New Era

***STIPENDS AVAILABLE FOR EDUCATORS AND CAREER COUNSELORS***

Join us for the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit to learn from industry leaders about the implications for entrepreneurs in during the Trump era. What do we need to remain attentive to, and what are the opportunities and challenges before us? Entrepreneurs, educators, and investors from the leading industry sectors will enlighten us.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The event will convene high school and community college CTE educators, career counselors, and industry leaders to promote national and global awareness among student entrepreneurs. Also elevant for CTE deans, administrators, and workforce and economic development agencies.

COST

The event is free, but RSVP is required.

AGENDA

+ 8:30 -9am: Registration and continental breakfast
+ 9am to 3pm: Keynote, panels, speakers, innovation lab, idea swap shop, working lunch provided
+ 3pm-4pm: Networking reception with appetizers

STIPEND OPPORTUNITY

Stipends are available for CTE educators and career counselors from California's South Central Coast region high schools and community colleges (SLO, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Northwest L.A. counties) for the development of classroom activities during the event that promote national and global awareness in your CTE pathway.

Julie also serves as Global Trade & Logistics Deputy Sector Navigator (DSN) under the Doing What Matters for Jobs and the Economy framework of the California State Chancellor's office.

The 2016 Global Competence Summit is an initiative of the California Community Colleges’ Doing What MATTERS for Jobs and the Economy framework which invests in California’s economic growth and global competitiveness through industry-specific partnerships, education, training and services that contribute to a highly skilled and productive workforce. The California Community Colleges is the largest system of higher education in the nation. It is composed of 72 districts and 113 colleges serving 2.1 million students per year. Community colleges supply workforce training, basic skills courses in English and math, and prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities. The Chancellor’s Office provides leadership, advocacy and support under the direction of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges.
