Theme: DHIS2 Data Analytics and Visualization

Prerequisites: Basic familiarity with DHIS2 is a plus but not a requirement.

Target audience:

  • Technical Experts/Senior Management/Donors: to understand how to drill down the data to granular levels for informed decision making

  • Project Managers: to understand the capabilities of analytics and visualizations in DHIS2 for decision making, to learn how to use data to spot potential risks/issues before they occur

  • M&E Staff: to learn how to turn raw data into visually appealing information products, understand how to create dashboards and share with multiple user groups in DHIS2, to use maps to geographically showcase data outputs, to learn how to spot trends, gaps, and outliers in your data

DHIS2 offer comprehensive and powerful capabilities for data analytics and visualization. The system has been greatly improved over the last releases with new apps for data visualization, maps, and dashboards. These apps offer a completely new look-and-feel and a vast range of new features. The training will allow you to get on top of the latest and greatest DHIS2 functionality and improve your ability to create meaningful data analytics.

The course will be useful for newcomers to DHIS2 who want to learn the basics of analytics, as well as experienced DHIS2 users who want to learn about the new possibilities of the software.

This course offers a mix of presentation and hands-on exercises. The course will be taught by highly experienced DHIS 2 experts who will be able to answer your questions.
