About this Event
The Global Climate Action Symposium will bring together a wide range of experts to showcase climate change engagement by local student activists, scientists and engineers, business and policy experts, and artists. Jointly sponsored by Georgia Tech and six European consulates during European Climate Diplomacy Week, the event will be held in the brand-new Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design, where guests can learn about how the building will produce more energy than it uses, collect and recycle water for its operations, and promote a just and equitable world.
Please register for each individual section you would like to attend, including lunch and the reception.

- 9:00 am - 9:30 am: Registration; coffee will be served
Section 1: Science, Technology and Policy
- 9:30 am - 10:00 am: Opening remarks
- 10:00 am - 11:00 am: Science & Engineering Panel Discussion
- 11:00 am -11:20 am Break
- 11:20 am - 12:30 pm: Business & Policy Panel Discussion
Lunch:
- 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm: Sustainable, plant-forward lunch in the Kendeda Building provided for pre-registrants
Section 2: Students' Engagement
- 1:30 pm -1:50 pm: "Friday's for Future" video screened by Pierre Gourjon, French Consulate
- 1:50 pm - 2:20 pm: Georgia Tech Student Panel Discussion
- 2:20 pm - 3:15 pm: Keynote speaker Destiny Loyd, from Citizen’s Climate Lobby, introduced by Dr. Kim Cobb.
- 3:15 pm-3:30 pm: Break
Section 3: Art and Climate Future
- 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Explore art by Guy Gabon, Gwenola Wagon, Pierre Cassou-Noguès, and Erin Jane Elson.
- 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Discussion with artists
- All-day photo exhibition by Virginie Kippelen, documentary & fine art photographer
Section 4: Reception
- 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Mingle with other symposium participants.
