GLOBAL CAFE: Human Trafficking
Event Information
Description
WHAT’S YOUR SLAVERY FOOTPRINT? Human trafficking is modern slavery. It is one of the main global crises of our generation. What can we do about it? Through a panel of experts representing scholars and key Chicago-based organizations, this global café discusses the issue in light of our global responsibility. Join us in person or on a Google Hangout. Start by assessing your 'slavery footprint', and explore the resources available at: weinstitute.org/globalcafe
The Global Café: Hot issues on Global Citizenship is a call to reflect and engage on important issues of our global city and society. Through expert panels and open debates between academics and practitioners of selected organizations, these conversations aim at informing, connecting and engaging.
The Global Café is a collaborative initiative of alumni, students and faculty of the International Public Service (IPS) Program at DePaul University active in the World Engagement Institute and other Chicago based international and national nongovernmental organizations.
