Event description

Description

Join us for a presentation by Steve Goldberg on a birding photo safari in BOTSWANA, southern Africa. Explore habitats ranging from the scrub of the northern Kalahari to the seasonal flood plains of the Okavango Delta. The time of year was at the end of the long dry season, where birds and other animals are concentrated into the remaining water pools and riverine shores. Transportation was via bush plane, jeep, pontoon, rowboat (with a small outboard) and makoro (African dugout canoe with a ferryman with a long pole)... with humor via the other participants, who were all British.

Steve is a retired IT consultant, international birdwatcher and photographer. Steve’s photos have appeared in his feature article in Bird Watchers Digest on “Trinidad & Tobago”, the Virginia Breeding Bird Atlas, and a television program about bird photography. He was ranked #59 in the ABA Listing for Central America.
