Event description

Description

In April of this year, Chris Markham and Bob Metzger had the pleasure of exploring diverse sections of Australia’s eastern coast, focusing their attention on the birds, beasts, and geography of those areas. Our presenters spent 10 days in tropical North Queensland and 11 days in temperate New South Wales, identified more than 160 different species of birds, and photographed more than 130 of those species.

At the June 27 gathering of Minnesota Global Birders, Chris and Bob will be sharing a selection of their photos, discussing the planning and logistics of their adventure, and facilitating Q&A about their experience.

Anybody interested is welcome! This event will be in the community room of the Walker Library in Uptown Mpls. Alcohol is not allowed in the library, so after the presentation we'll move to a nearby establishment to chat and have a drink together.

There is a parking lot underneath the library - enter off of Lagoon Ave west of Hennepin - or you can find parking on the nearby streets (someone can accompany to your car afterwards if you like).

So that we can monitor the number of people attending, please get a free ‘ticket” here from EventBrite.

(Also, if you are interested in giving a future presentation yourself, please click CONTACT below to let the organizers know...)
