Description

Please join us for our 2nd Annual GLITZ - GLAM - GIVE Cancer Awareness and Women's History Month Celebratory Brunch. This year's theme is Breakfast at Tiffany's; so channel your inner Audrey Hepburn and come dressed to impress in your little black dress (or Audrey Hepburn style ensemble). In continuing the tradition of last year's event, your ticket will include make-up lessons, empowerment hour, champagne and brunch. Guests attending will be welcomed with a champagne greet, as well as a buffet brunch, silent and live auctions. This event is open to all women in the department: FDNY Uniform & civilian members, their family and friends.

FIRED UP for a CURE aspires to continue paying homage to our cancer survivors, their families and friends to celebrate the many ways the FDNY is making strides towards extinguishing cancer. Funds raised from the afternoon will benefit the foundations selected by the Fired Up for a Cure program. FIRED UP'S efforts support the four organizations/units that step in to help our ill responders and their families for services and equipment not covered by insurance: American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge, The Ray Pfeifer Foundation, Fire Family Transport Foundation & the FDNY Foundation (Family Assistance Unit).

Our support of the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge, The Ray Pfeifer Foundation, Fire Family Transport Foundation & the FDNY Foundation (Family Assistance Unit) is a moving example of how the FDNY gets involved with their community and makes a difference for the benefit of our ill first responders, their families and cancer survivors. These organizations enable the FDNY World Trade Center Cancer Care Team to ensure that no first responder family faces cancer alone. This is done by bringing the department together through activites/events, funding cancer research, promoting education and risk reduction, and providing comprehensive patient support to those who need it most.

It’s an honor to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research and support. We are grateful for the unwavering genrosity we’ve received from multiple organizations and small businesses that allow us to give back to our community and the many that have been affected by the disease.

*****Seating is limited to the the 1st 100 Registrations. RSVPs are highly recommended. Tickets will be sold at the door.
