Location: Portland Community Media Annex

Dates: May 3, 10, 17
In this workshop, explore new ways of making experimental video art. This class will introduce you to more complex glitch art and video synthesizer techniques. You’ll get hands-on training in Portland Community Media's Analog Video Suite and will get the tools and inspiration you need to start experimenting with analog mixing, glitch, video synthesizers and feedback effects.
This class certifies you to become a New Media Producer Level 1, meaning you can check out gear from the Analog Video Suite for free, including Portland Community Media's video synth and VHS equipment, video mixers and media players. You’ll also be certified to air content on our channels.
PCM is located off the #6 bus line. If you are driving to PCM we have a parking lot located on NE Graham. Our main entrance is located on the corner of NE Graham and NE MLK. For directions please call our main line at (503) 288-1515.
PCM requires a certain number of participants to register in order to hold a workshop. This number varies depending on the workshop. In the event that minimum enrollment is not met, a class will be canceled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance. Workshops participants must attend ALL workshop sessions in order to receive certification. No make-up sessions will be allowed except in cases of emergency. Participants must contact firstname.lastname@example.org to be considered for make-up sessions.
