Event description

Description

Join Delta Institute as we partner with EcoDistricts for the next installment of Glass Half Full, our craft beer-fueled discussion series.

Some of us want to see change in the communities we live in and a lot of us will volunteer to get the change we want to see - but when looking at development, how do we plan for these changes to best improve our neighborhoods?

Join us at Burnt City Brewery as we host a panel of practitioners who will dive into a facilitated discussion of models, best practices, and lessons learned in community-based revitalization and neighborhood development with an ethical and sustainable approach.

Moderating this event will be Eve Pytel, Director at Delta Institute who leads Delta's urban revitalization work in partnership with community-based organizations.

Our current speakers:

  • Naomi Cole, Director of Certification + Innovation, EcoDistricts

  • Kim Wasserman Nieto, Executive Director, Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO)

  • Ciere Boatright, Project Manager, Real Estate, Chicago Neighborhood Initiative (CNI)

  • Jason Navota, Director of Local Planning at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP)

Your ticket includes a beer, heavy appetizers, and networking. Send an email to kmusisi@delta-institute.org for a discount code that's available for students and members of community-based groups.
