Sales Have Ended
Thanks for your interest in GLAM Craft Show! This year's show will take place on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 23, 2016 by 11:59 p.m.
EVENT DATE AND TIME: Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
VENUE: Historic GRU Operations Warehouse, Power District, 625 SE 5th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601. The warehouse has a vintage industrial feel with large windows, exposed metal trusses, and corrugated metal walls. Tables will be indoors, and booths will be outdoors. Also, we will leave the warehouse doors open, so please dress accordingly.
TABLES / BOOTHS: Vendors can choose to apply for an indoor table space ($85) or an outdoor booth space ($135). If you are accepted for a table space, you'll have a single table 8 feet long x 30 inches wide, along with two chairs. Your display must fit within this space. All table spaces will be INDOORS. If you are accepted for a booth, you will receive a 10' x 10' booth space OUTDOORS on the south side of the warehouse, along with one table 8 feet long x 30 inches wide and two chairs. The booth area will be directly accessible from both warehouse doors. All booth spaces are uncovered, so feel free to bring a pop-up tent if you have one. **If you want a table removed from your space to make room for a special display or garment rack, please mark this on your application.**
SHARING SPACE: Please encourage anyone who is interested in vending to submit their own application.
SELECTION CRITERIA: We work hard to strike the right balance of vendors for our shoppers, so not everyone who applies will be accepted. We look for vendors who make unique, handmade, giftable items that are fresh and unexpected, or even edgy and quirky. If your items look like something we've seen over and over again at other craft shows in Gainesville, chances are good we'll politely pass. We do not accept vendors who resell items made entirely by someone else (e.g., imported or wholesale items). To be clear, it's okay to buy mass-produced T-shirts and screenprint them with your own designs. It's not okay to buy jewelry or clothing that's handmade in another country and sell it as your own work. If you think there is any grey area with what you make/sell, be sure to address this on your application. We also try to limit the number of vendors who sell within a single category, most notably soaps and jewelry. All applicants must submit photos of their work that are representative of what they would offer for sale at GLAM, or else risk being turned away. Vendors who make items for guys, kids, and pets are especially encouraged to apply.
NOTIFICATION: All applicants will be notified of their status by October 31, 2016.
VENDOR FEE: If you are accepted, the producer will retain the vendor fee that you paid via EventBrite. If you are not accepted, the producer will return your payment by October 31, 2016.
SET UP AND BREAKDOWN: Vendor set-up will start at 8:00 a.m. on Dec. 4, and all vendors must have their table or booth completely set up and ready for customers by 10:00 a.m. Vendors may not begin breaking down their table or booth until the event has ended at 4 p.m. If you break down early, you may not be accepted for future shows.
