  • Kevin SawickiKevin Sawicki is a developer at GitHub and the author of the open-source GitHub and Gaug.es Android apps.  He previously worked on the Eclipse Git and GitHub plugins and the Java implementation of Git.

Refund Rules:  If we cancel the event, we will issue a full refund.  Otherwise, there will be no refunds.

Why are we asking for donations?

CodeChix is seeking non-profit status and we need to raise funds for filing fees. Apart from that, there is great demand for CodeChix T-shirts and we would love to be able to give our loyal attendees 2013 CodeChix T-shirts. So, we are also raising funds for that effort.

CodeChix - BayArea

CodeChix is a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives (501c3).  It is an organization for local women developers run by local women developers in a non-alpha, language/os agnostic, supportive environment with an emphasis on face-to-face communication. It is the first group of its kind and started in 2009 in San Jose, CA.

The key goals of CodeChix are to educate, promote and mentor women engineers and developers.  We foster continuous learning, provide mentorship/guidance and create a local community of women developers. The original chapter of CodeChix is in the Silicon Valley/Bay Area with additional chapters in Seattle/Redmond. The CodeChix slogan is “May the code be with you…”.

CodeChix organizes Hacking Sessions, Technical Talks and Technical Workshops.
