Event description

Description

NUS’s Green Impact team has created this programme to provide support and advice to those taking part in our new Green Impact Students Unions programme in 2017.

Whether it’s by providing learning and development opportunities, fostering a peer-support network, or sharing good practice, we’re delighted to launch a fortnightly schedule of events you can access from the comfort of your desk.

Cost: Free – included as part of your Green Impact fee.

Suitable for: Anyone leading on Green Impact in a students’ union

What will we cover?

To ensure we are giving you bespoke support for the new GISU programme, these webinars will provide a focussed look at one or two themes within the toolkit. We will explore what the actions mean, what sort of evidence might be applicable, and how you could tackle each activity.

We have deliberately changed the toolkit significantly this year. We hope that this will stretch the delivery of sustainability work across your union or association, and in turn yield greater impact. We have also changed the format of scoring and therefore how you will be audited, so each webinar will review this process with you to ensure you are clear as to how to get the most from your new programme.

This particular webinar will look at the 'Partnership and Policy' and 'SU Operations ' sections of the toolkit.

How does it work?

For the webinars, we will be using Skype for Business online meeting software - to join click here. To fully participate it’s helpful if you have a webcam, microphone and speaker/headphone although it’s possible to participate with just the speaker/headphone. You can familiarise yourself with this software, and troubleshoot any issues you have using it, before attending a webinar by clicking here. Webinars will be recorded so if you can’t make them, you’ll be able to watch them at a later date.
