Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (CST)
Stained Glass Design with Katy Dougharty
Saturday, January 5th, 11am-3pm.
This session is open to girls & women 15 and up. Materials and tools will be provided.
The exact address of the studio will be emailed to participants after registration.
Cut, grind, foil, solder, frame: The five foundational steps to creating your own stained glass panel (using the copper foil method) will be covered in this course. This is a class for the beginning beginner that teachers patience, dexterity, accuracy and color theory.
By the end of our workshop, you'll have your own "Window Pendant" to hang proudly at home, or give as a hand-crafted gift.
Katy Dougharty LOVES art. Her devotion to visual art has culminated in a life spent as a student, a wilderness steward, then a teacher and (finally) a professional craftswoman. A foundation in drawing, painting, sculpture and education has translated uniquely into her glass design. She's excited to be opening her studio doors to new students also in LOVE with art and curious about glass.
