Event description

Description

GirlsCodingWithGirls is a program started by Warren Hills High School students to teach middle school and elementary school girls about computer science. With previous years’ programs being a great experience for all involved, some of the high school students are continuing the program. GirlsCodingWithGirls will be a weekly workshop series of six sessions, taking into account Spring Break. The main focus throughout the program will be to expose the girls to another world of opportunities through immersion into the field of computer science. In terms of the specific curriculum, we will be programming with MIT Scratch for both beginners and those with experience. (We are going to challenge our veterans and teach more about Scratch!) The objective of GirlsCodingWithGirls is to create a small community of girls that are inspired to explore the world of technology. All experience levels welcome!
