Event description

Description

Tech jobs are among the fastest growing in the country, yet girls are being left behind. While interest in computer science ebbs over time, the biggest drop off happens between the ages of 13-17. The Girls Who Code Club at Millbrae Library attempts to address this issue by appealing to middle school girls through engaging weekly computer science workshops.

You’ll learn core concepts in computer science through projects based on your interests, such as music, art, storytelling, games, and more. You’ll also complete a final project designed to make a positive difference in your community.

This group will meet almost every Saturday from 10am-12pm between 10/7/17 and mid-May. No prior experience ore extra materials required. We are very grateful to the Mills High School students and industry professionals who generously volunteer their time to make this possible!
