Description

Join us for our first Women's Leadership Forum titled, “Girls, Sports, and Leadership,” a panel discussion (including Q/A) focused on how sports participation helps girls (and women) grow and develop in leadership skills of all types. Research has demonstrated that girls who play sports show increased confidence, better health (physically, mentally, and emotionally), a strong work ethic, and heightened resilience. Learn from experts representing the Utah Valley University athletics program how to best help girls grow through sports.

UVU Panelists:

  • (Moderator) Dr. Susan R. Madsen, Founder and Director, Utah Women & Leadership Project

  • Megan Kennedy, Senior Associate Athletic Director/SWA

  • Cathy Nixon, Senior Associate Athletic Director

  • Sue Nyhus, Head Coach-Women’s Golf

  • Kylin Muñoz, Assistant Coach-Women’s Volleyball
