Event description

Description

It's time that the "sex talk" gets an update.

FOR YOUNG WOMEN (High school and college-aged.)

Do you have questions about sex and your sexuality?

What can owning your sexuallity look like today? How do you navigate the digital dating terrain of likes, swipes, and hearts? How does society impact our understanding of sexuality?

This event is a dedicated space for you to feel safe enough to ask anything of our professional therapists who will be walking alongside of you the whole time - you're welcome to invite a mentor you trust for free. Parents/caregivers will be having their own conversation separately.

Join other young women like yourself to create honest dialogue about our experiences, challenge our assumptions, and explore the complicated landscape of modern female sexuality. We'll be referring to Peggy Orenstein’s bestseller "Girls & Sex" to guide our conversation.

You'll also enter a raffle to win an iPad, gift cards, and candy if you register and attend. :)

FOR PARENTAL GUARDIANS

It is easy to see that the world your daughter lives in is not the same one you navigated as a teenager.

The advent of the internet, pornography, and social media has profoundly changed the context of teenage sexuality. Within this new and complicated landscape, how do you encourage your daughter to live in line with her values, be safe, and responsibly enjoy positive, reciprocal sexual experiences?

We invite you to join our parent seminar focused on how to talk to your daughter about this new world of female sexuality, and most importantly, how to do so without shaming. This seminar will be facilitated by Lisa Olson, Marriage & Family Therapist Intern.
