THE NCSL HIGH SCHOOL REGIONAL TALENT SHOWCASE presented by The St. James

FOR FEMALE PLAYERS, GRADES 8-12

SATURDAY, JANUARY 5, 2019 - 2:30PM

National Capital Soccer League and The St. James are delighted to announce a strategic partnership to create novel soccer education and entertainment experiences for children and families in the metropolitan Baltimore-Washington, DC corridor. 

The NCSL High School Regional Talent Showcase presented by The St. James will be held on January 5th from 2:30-9pm at The St. James in Springfield, Va. The St. James is the Washington region's premier sports, wellness and active entertainment destination, which offers families and athletes a place for the whole family to pursue their passions through the most comprehensive programming in the region.

The girls' event will feature college coaches from across the region and provide players with a platform to learn about the college recruiting process, participate in training led by college coaches, and showcase their skills in small-sided games. In order to maximize player exposure, we have a limited number of spaces so sign up to reserve your spot now!

Event Details
● Date | January 5th, 2019 (women)
● Time | 2:30pm-9pm
● Location | The St. James (6805 Industrial Rd., Springfield, VA 22151)
● Participants | 8th graders through 12th graders (undeclared)
● Cost | $160 for athletes who are members of an NCSL youth club; $199 for athletes who play for non-NCSL member clubs

Each player will receive:
● Customized NCSL High School Regional Talent Showcase jersey with number
● Access to a 110,000 square foot, indoor, climate-controlled facility to train, play and learn 
● Major League Soccer Combine fitness testing for student-athletes to use in their college recruiting process
● Small-group training led directly by college coaches
● Several small-sided games to maximize involvement and touches in front of college coaches
● Groupings based on graduation year and information packets for coaches to make player ID as efficient as
possible
● Q&A panel with college coaches, admissions officers and former players to learn about the college recruiting process
● Opportunity hear from a high-profile keynote speaker at end of the combine event

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

All attending youth participants must be registered players on a youth soccer club that is a member of the National Capital Soccer League. Additionally, participants must be enrolled in a private or public school between grades 8 through 12.

 

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The St. James has ample on-site parking to accommodate youth participants and attending family members. Public transportation is available through the Fairfax County Transportation Authority.

 

What can I bring into the event?

No outside food or refershments are permitted inside The St. James. Participants may bring water bottles to be filled inside The St. James. 

 

What's the refund policy?

The St. James will provide a partial refund of 75% of the total registration fee on or before 11:59pm ET on Saturday, December 29, 2018. No refunds will be granted thereafer.

 

Can I update my registration information?

Yes. Participating youth players may update their registration information at anytime by sending an email to soccer@thestjames.co. 

 

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

No.

 

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

No. The name of the attending youth participant must match the name submitted into the registration form at the time of registration.
