About this Event

Join Girls in Tech and Silicon Foundry for a panel and networking event in which some of the best and brightest female leaders in venture capital will share their unique stories and journeys about their careers.

Hear from a panel of dynamic leaders in technology from top firms, including BlueRun Ventures, IrishAngels, Commerce Ventures, and Precursor Ventures. Our panelists will engage in honest discussions about being a woman in VC, success strategies for every phase of your career, and steering through challenges and unseen barriers on the way to the top.

Pizza and wine will be provided!

Panelists:

Allison Steitz is an investor with BlueRun Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm based in the Bay Area. Allison focuses on seed and series A investment opportunities in enterprise and consumer deep tech globally. Prior to BlueRun, Allison worked for Quona Capital, a VC firm investing in inclusive fintech companies in emerging markets. Allison earned her BA in Political Science and Mathematics from Wellesley College.

Caroline Yeager is currently an Associate at IrishAngels, an angel investing group and venture fund that is based in Chicago and affiliated with the University of Notre Dame, though she recently moved to the Bay Area to act as their West Coast scout. Prior to joining the IrishAngels team, she was an analyst at GE Ventures, where she worked on a startup in the drone space. Caroline is originally from Madison, Wisconsin. She earned her BS from Boston College and an MSM from Notre Dame.

Zhenni Liu is an investor at Commerce Ventures, an early stage VC focusing on opportunities in Retail Tech, FinTech, and InsurTech. Prior to Commerce, Zhenni was an investor at Peterson Ventures (seed investors in Allbirds, Bonobos, and more) and had also spent time at retailers including Sephora, Athleta, and Outdoor Voices. Zhenni started her career as a consultant at Bain & Company and is a graduate of the University of Southern California.

Ayanna Kerrison is an investor at Precursor Ventures and an operations and finance professional with over 5 years of experience working for investment banks. Prior to joining Precursor, Ayanna worked at Credit Suisse as a COO in the IT department and later as a COO within Prime Services. She has also spent time working at Bank of Montreal in the Financial Sponsors Group. Ayanna graduated from Baruch College with a Bachelors in Finance.
