An ‘Ink’s Think & Drink’ Event

In this in-person social event, you’ll learn about the origins and history of gin, taste the three main types of gin from both international and local makers, and enjoy some refreshing cocktails & delicious snacks. During a presentation put on by Dr Inkwell, you'll learn more about spirits and your own preferences as you taste six different gins. With your admission, you'll get a drink ticket to enjoy one cocktail during the social event mixer (with additional drinks available for purchase). Your admission will give you access to four sections of the event:

It’s Ginformational – Dr Inkwell’s Presentation

4:15PM – 5:00PM

Did you know that there are three main types of gin? Dr Inkwell will give a brief presentation to reveal the origins and history of how gin came to be, its botanical and legal definitions, a guide as to how to pick and choose between brands, and why you might like some brands and not others. During the presentation, you’ll taste six example gins to better understand how flavor, history, and your taste buds interact.

4:00PM – 7:00PM

Gin Tasting Bar

• The Overland Station bar will have a range of gins on hand so you can taste a variety of expressions, if you want to go on a longer journey. Learn about each one, where it comes from, and why it’s different from the rest.

Gin Cocktails

• Dr Inkwell has formulated some delicious cocktails to enjoy during the event. These cocktails have been created for these gins to express their uniqueness. Enjoy the expression as formulated, or try switching to another gin to see the results!

Gin Pairing Snacks

• Overland Station will also have snacks on hand to keep you satisfied during your gin journey.

This event is open to ages 21+. You may be required to show ID for entry.

By purchasing a ticket, you verify that you have been vaccinated for Covid-19. Proof of vaccination may be requested at the event. Overland Station reserves the right to reschedule this event for any reason. In the event of this, notice will be given within 7 days of the event. Tickets will be fully refunded and will have to be repurchased for the new date.
