Gimme Green Film Screening and Experts Panel Discussion
Event Information
Description
The Upper Merrimack River Local Advisory Committee and St. Paul's School are proud to co-host the "Gimme Green Film Screening and Experts Panel Discussion" as part of the UMRLAC's winter community program and SPS's Birckhead Science Lecture Series.
About the event
Gimme Green is a humourous look at the American obsession with the residential lawn and the effects it has on our environment, our wallets, and our outlook on life.
This twenty-seven minute film will present a variety of viewpoints on this issue and show how homeowners, real estate professionals, and landscapers are involved. After the film screening a panel of experts will provide their reactions and viewpoints with time for attendees to ask them questions.
Panelists for this event include
Ken Jordan, Ken Jordan Realty Associates, Canterbury, NH
Cathy Neal, University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension, Durham, NH
Britt Phillips, Complete Land Organics, Dunbarton, NH
Can we have green lawns that make our properties look good, retain their value, and are good for the environment? Plan to be at this film screening and panel discussion to find out.
The event will be located at St. Paul's School in the Lindsay Center Lecture Hall on the campus off Pleasant Street in Concord. A campus map may be viewed at https://www.sps.edu/ftpimages/36/misc/misc_83154.pdf
Lovely sweet snacks are provided by The Works Bakery Café in downtown Concord and light liquid refreshments are provided by St. Paul's School beginning at 6:45 PM. The film screening event will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. This event is made available free of charge and open to the public but space is limited so please register.
