About this event
October 15th is National Mammography Day.
The documentary Foreign Puzzle is the story of Sharon Marroquin a Mexican American dancer.
"Her struggle to come to terms with uncertainty and impermanence is examined in heartbreaking clarity in a lovely film that stands out among the more common health documentaries. Highly Recommended" - EMRO
A breast cancer diagnosis is life-altering and for an extended time just making it through the day can feel like an accomplishment. Sharon’s story and cancer journey reiterate the importance of routine mammograms for early detection, treatment, and survivorship.
Join us for the special virtual screening of the documentary "Foreign Puzzle", followed by a live chat with Farida Rizwan (25 year cancer survivor) and Sharon Marroquin, (11 year cancer survivor and protagonist of Foreign Puzzle) about life, breast cancer, creativity, and survivorship.
Register to receive a private link to the film on Eventive and link to the live session with panelists. You will receive the link to watch the film a day before the event. It will be active for 24 hours.
