Event description
This is an opportunity for gifted education teachers to come together to discuss best practices in identifying and serving gifted students.

About this Event

Attend this networking and learning workshop to discuss best practices in gifted education. Topics discussed will depend on the interest of the attendees and can include:

  • identification best practices,
  • meeting the social-emotional needs of gifted learners (including mindsets)
  • curriculum ideas
  • services for high school students
  • communication with the community about the gifted program.

Come prepared to share one best practice with the group. A survey will be sent to participants before the workshop to discover topics of interest. This workshop is facilitated by Christine Nobbe, Director of Gifted Education, who will share trends, research related to the topics, and ideas but all participants will be actively participating in discussion and sharing.

The workshop is free of cost to participants and registration is first come, first served. Lunch will not be provided, but a lunch break will be scheduled and we can go to lunch together at nearby Madison's. Electronic devices are welcome. Parking information will be provided – street or parking garage – and attendees will cover their own parking (and transportation).

Registration deadline is June 30, 2019. You may register to attend both days!
