This class is required by Manatee County to provide training in Fertilizer Best Management Practices for anyone working in the landscape maintenance industry who applies fertilizers. It is focused on reducing non-point source pollution resulting from landscape maintenance activities. This class is also known as the GI-BMP class or Green Industry - Best Management Practice class.
The GI-BMP class helps professionals meet the requirements of the Manatee County fertilizer ordinance # 11-21. The ordinance requires that all fertilizer applicators working for commercial companies, governments and in-house employees of private companies obtain the Limited Certification for Urban Landscape Commercial Fertilizer (LCULCF).
Following completion of this training, you will be given a post-test to determine knowledge learned. If the post-test is successfully completed, you will be mailed a certificate of completion.
The cost of the BMP class is $10.00 per person and includes a continental breakfast. Lunch is on your own.
You may buy your tickets online or register to pay at the door. This class may cancel if attendance is too low.
