About the Tour
Modeled after ghost tours found in big cities all over the country, Ghosts of Kalamazoo Historic Tour provides history with a twist — delivering the weird, the haunted, and the historic stories found throughout Kalamazoo.
Your ticket will be good for a 45-to-60-minute walking tour around Mountain Home Cemetery in Kalamazoo.
Advance tickets are $9 (plus fees) per person, and advance registration closes 24 hours in advance of the tour. If you prefer, you can do a walk up registration. These tickets are $10 per person. If you have a large group we would suggest doing advance registration to guarantee you can get the time you want and can all go together on the tour. There are limited walk up spots available.
The Ghosts of Kalamazoo Historic Tour is owned and operated by the Kalamazoo Jaycees and is staffed by a group of dedicated and loyal volunteers.
If you are unable to make it to our Moutain Home Cemetry tour, don't worry! We have tours on October 7th and 8th at Riverside Cemetery and October 21st and 22nd Downtown Kalamazoo! Missed all our Fall Tour Nights? We take tour requests year round - you can contact us to schedule a private tour anytime.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
ID is not required except to check in a ticket without printing it. We do not have a strict age limit but we do suggest that tour patrons are 12 years of age or older and we do require anyone under 18 to be accompanied by an adult.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
For our Cemetery Tours there will be signs and volunteers directing you to the parking locations within the cemetery. For our Downtown Tours there is plenty of parking available around Bronson Park or in one of the downtown parking garages or lots.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please bring a flashlight and dress appropriately for the weather. We also suggest substantial walking shoes as the tour does last about an hour and it's walking/standing the whole time. We do not allow alcoholic beverages, flash photography, or pets on our tours.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can also message Ghosts of Kalamazoo Historic Tours on Facebook - we are pretty quick to respond.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, your ticket can be transferred by reaching out to the project chair within 24 hours of your tour. Please provide the name of the person you would like your ticket transferred to and we will make the updates on our end.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. We are able to check you in without the printed ticket. We will just ask to see ID from the person who purchased the tickets to verify we are checking in the right person.
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds on ticket purchases. We do allow tickets to be transferred up to 24 hours in advance of your tour to another person. The Ghosts of Kalamazoo Historic Tours is a fundraising project with proceeds going to local non-profit organizations. While we hope you will be able to join us for your tour, we are not able to issue a refund in the event that you are unable to attend.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
We do run the tours rain, shine, or snow. We will only cancel tours in the event of extreme weather such as a tornado or if there is lightening. If we cancel the tours due to weather, we will make every effort to contact you with as much notice as possible and we will issue you a credit to join us on another tour night.
