R.I.P. RECEPTION & GHOST STORIES

We invite you to join us on Saturday evening, October 14, 2017 for a fun and spooky evening at the 6th Annual R.I.P. RECEPTION & GHOST STORIES held on the beautiful grounds of historic Crown Hill Cemetery! Presented by Storytelling Arts of Indiana and Crown Hill Heritage Foundation as a fundraiser for both non-profits, these two events celebrate talented storytellers who craft original ghost stories to entertain and scare the hundreds who attend! Purchase your ticket(s) in advance to save money and avoid the ticket line at the gate!

The R.I.P. Reception (21 & over) is held before Ghost Stories in the historic Waiting Station building (1885), located right inside the 34th St. gate of Crown Hill. Tickets for the R.I.P. Reception include admission to Ghost Stories. If not attending the R.I.P. Reception, gates to the cemetery grounds open at 6:30 PM, enabling those who arrive early for Ghost Stories to walk around beautiful Crown Hill to see our stunning fall foliage and enjoy a picnic. Plenty of free parking is available, including handicap parking.

At the R.I.P. Reception you can mingle with storytellers and other happy haunters at the historic Waiting Station just inside Crown Hill’s east entrance at 34th Street and Boulevard Place. Built in 1885 as the original cemetery office and "Waiting Station" where people gathered before funerals, it has served as a gathering place for many generations since. Steel yourself to be scared while enjoying complimentary beverages from Sun King Brewing and Mass Ave Wine, and graze on tasty treats provided by Food Guys Catering Company. Bid and take home a decorated pumpkin for the Halloween season to help fund the outreach programs of Storytelling Arts of Indiana. Tickets can be purchased at a discount in advance here, or at the door. You must PRINT your ticket as they will be scanned at the Waiting Station. Duplicate tickets will not be honored. Sponsored by The National Bank of Indianapolis.
