On Sunday, May 22nd, meet up with the Ghost River Outfitters crew at 11:30 am at the Bateman Rd. Ghost River Access to join us on an EcoTour of the Mineral Slough Boardwalk and Ghost River State Natural Area! This EcoTour gives participants the opportunity to hike among the well known Cypress-Tupelo Swamp Ecosystem without having to commit to a full day on the water in a canoe or kayak.

Durning this EcoTour, you'll take a ride on the infamous RAT Swamp Safari Truck down gravel roads through Ghost River SNA to the secluded "Mineral Slough Boardwalk". From here, we'll begin our short hike down the trail to the boardwalk, stopping periodically to cover general information about Ghost River ecology, history, geography and canoe/kayak access points. After the 1 mile hiking tour, we'll take the RAT Swamp Safari Truck back to your vehicles at the Bateman Road Access to finish the tour.

Weather permitting, we'll have an optional 1 hour kayak rental and tutorial for beginners. This will be available to attendees following the completion of the EcoTour for an additional $20.

*This EcoTour is highly recommended for anyone that is considering canoeing or kayak down the Ghost River Section, but would like to be well-informed of the challenges and acquainted with the terrain before doing so.

*We'll meet at the Bateman Rd Access at 11:30 am on Sunday, May 22nd for the tour. If using Google Maps, your destination should be set to "Ghost River Canoe Run - Outlet" - BUT you MUST drive beyond the address another 1/2 mile to the gravel parking lot next to the river once Google informs you of arrival. PLEASE do not turn into the driveway Goolge Maps may prompt you to use. Once you've arrived, we'll shuttle the group to the Boardwalk and back to your cars after the tour. From there, the optional kayak rental and tutorial will be available.

*No Refunds will be issued for this tour. If cancellation occurs, a credit toward a future EcoTour with Ghost River Rentals may be credited. Arrangements must be made and agreed upon with Ghost River Rentals via phone or e-mail before a credit can issued.
