Ghana Roots Reggae Tour 2020

-Sunday 1st Arrival/Briefing

Arrival in Accra.

Airport transfer to hotel, short briefing/local drums ‘’Akwabaa’’ evening and settling in. Accra at Night, visit Osu Oxford streets/ Republic bar thence to Jam Rock to have a reggae night feel.

Overnight

-Monday 2nd Muss Buss Business/Accra City Tour/ Reggae Roots Corporate Concert

Morning at breakfast, thence depart the hotel for Muss Buss Business Expo. Information on Right to Abode, Visas, Business registration, banking, car registration and sales, Land sales, real estate, land housing tours and more with local agents. Local handcrafted items for shopping. Local cuisine catering for lunch. Then site seeing tour of the administrative capital of Ghana, Accra. An opportunity to see a blend of the old colonial architecture and the modern day to give you a feel of the past and present. You will also visit E.B. Dubois Centre of Pan African Culture, The Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. Visit the Arts Centre for an opportunity to shop artefacts and native fabrics from Ghana and West Africa.

We will end the tour with a walking tour of James Town.

Overnight

-Tuesday 3rd Kumasi City Tour/ Reggae Roots Concert

After breakfast, depart Accra for Kumasi. You will visit the Manhyia Palace Museum to obtain in-depth information on the legacies of the Ashanti Kingdom backed by centuries old relics, artifacts and history.

End the day’s tour at the National Cultural Centre featuring the Jubilee Museum of Prempeh II with a drive through the city with dedicated monuments to the memory of the Ashanti.

Overnight at Kumasi

-Wednesday 4th Kumasi Assin Manso/ Takoradi- Asa Baako Festival/ Party Bus to Asa Baako (pick-up Kumasi to Takoradi)

After breakfast, lets drive through the forest zone en-route Assin Manso, the location of ‘’Donkor Nsuo’’ the river bank that served as the ‘’slave market and final transit point for the large number of enslaved Africans. Fly/Bus to Takoradi- Asa Baako Festival/

Overnight Takoradi

-Thursday 5th Cape Coast Castle Kakum National Park) Elmina Castle/ Village Walk/

After breakfast, we head to the Cape Coast Castle, one of UNESCO’s world heritage site and memorial point of call to victims of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. A tour of the Elmina Castle, also one of UN World Heritage Site and an important symbol of the traumatic history of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade.

-Friday 6th (Independence DAY) Depart to Takoradi God is Love Soup Luncheon/ 11am Takoradi (Party Bus Takoradi to Accra)

Flight to Tamale

After breakfast, Video Shoot wrap-up/depart to Takoradi. God is Love Soup Luncheon.
