We are so excited to inform you that, Ghana Healthcare Volunteers of Georgia, Inc. (GHVOG), (Formally Ghana Healthcare Professionals Association of Georgia), Banquet and Fundraising event will take place on October 29, 2016 at Atlanta Marriott Hotel Peachtree, 475 Technology Pkwy, Peachtree Corners/Norcross, GA 30092, from 7pm-2am! Our theme for the event is “Bringing Healthcare to the Underserved Communities One at a Time.”
GHVOG is a non-profit 501(c) 3 Healthcare Volunteers in the state of Georgia. It is our mission to promote the general health of Ghanaians (both US and Ghana), and other underserved communities through education and community health outreach programs. GHVOG had adopted Mankranso Gov’t Hospital in Ghana, a 80-bed rural healthcare institution that sees 2,241 patients per month or 26,892 patients per years. The major medical services it offers are Emergency Care (mainly Kumasi-Sunyani HWY traffic accidents), Primary Care, Family Planning, Surgery, General Medicine, OBGYN, Pediatrics, eye care, and Mental Health. The biggest problems facing this healthcare institution is lack of basic equipment, such as Microscopes, beds, mattresses, sheets, scales, BP machines, glucometers, stethoscope, screens, scissors, and supplies like test stripes, lancets, syringes, sanitizers, alcohol swaps, gloves, trash cans, etc.
