Event description

Description

GFM Institute is offered the first Friday of every month on a variety of topics to equip Christians to reach Muslims with the love and message of Christ.

When a Christian hears the word "Shariah", the common response is alarm and opposition. Even some Muslims have this reaction. Join us on Friday, April 3rd, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. for "Shariah: What Every Christian Should Know about Islamic Law and How to Respond" with Dr. S. This session seeks to discover what is meant by Shariah Law and what a Christian response may be, including whether we should support a Muslim's freedom to practice Shariah Law.

  • What: GFM Institute Luncheon and Seminar - "Shariah: What Every Christian Should Know about Islamic Law and How to Respond". Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $15 to help cover the cost of your delicious lunch in the beautiful country club setting.

  • When: Friday, April 3rd, 12:00-1:00 p.m.

  • Where: Las Colinas Country Club (call or email for directions)

Space is limited, so register here, call (972.717.9857) or email (prayer@gfmministries.org) today to reserve your spot and receive directions.

Featured Presenter: "Dr. S"

Dr. S was born and raised in South Africa where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He joined the family retail business, and because of a love for teaching also joined the Commerce faculty at Rhodes University teaching business and accounting. As part of a call to reach the nations he completed a Master of Divinity degree in international church planting at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His particular calling has been to those who have never heard and this led to his family serving overseas in an unreached, restricted access area. He was blessed to see how the Lord is making Himself known among the unreached and is passionate about training others to help complete the task that remains. His Doctor of Theology studies have been through the University of South Africa, with a focus on the issues of contextualization and globalization in relation to the starting of churches among the unreached.

(Dr. S works in closed contexts, so his name has been abbreviated to protect his identity.)
