Event description

Description

The 12th Annual Mary Ruth Weir Memorial Dinner will be held Tuesday, September 17th at 6pm at Central Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. Your ticket will include dinner, access to the silent auction, and opportunities to meet other activists and organizations working to end the death penalty in Georgia and nationwide.

The Mary Ruth Weir Memorial dinner is a time to come together and celebrate with allies. We will be honoring the Federal Defender, Capital Habeas Unit, representing individuals accused of a variety of federal offenses who cannot afford counsel, and Dave Atwood, the founder and first president of the Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. Last year's silent auction included many generous donations from supporters around the Metro Atlanta area including the High Museum, the Alliance Theatre, Wahoo! Grill, and many others. All proceeds help GFADP further our mission to raise awareness about death penalty issues, which includes hosting execution vigils around the state and educating the public about the death penalty in Georgia and Nationwide. You won't want to miss this year's event!

If you would like to make a separate donation to GFADP, please click here or visit our website at www.gfadp.org
