Description

Mushrooms are one of the most versatile but least understood ingredients in the kitchen. With a hugely diverse range of shapes, colors, and flavors, not to mention that some are poisonous, there's quite a lot to learn. We're bringing in local mushroom expert and forager, Tyler Akabane, to celebrate mushrooms. Tyler provides many of Boston's best restaurants with mushrooms and the knowledge of how to treat them. Joining Tyler is cheesemonger and former Toro Chef de Cuisine, Kate. Tyler and Kate will guide you through some of the basics of mushrooms, and will feature some delicious preparations that highlight some of their favorite mushrooms. You'll learn and taste what makes wild mushrooms just so special, and to complement the flavor and spirit of wild mushrooms, we'll be pairing them with some delicious natural wines. Spend an evening getting wild with us!
