David H. Lawrence XVII, producer for vo2gogo.com and casting director for Sotto Voce Film+Works, presents a one-night intensive workshop called Secrets of Voicework.
Three lucky participants will get to be directed and to record currently airing COMMERCIAL copy, to hear the finished product and have their work actually sent to them via email, in MP3 format, for use in demos, on websites and in marketing materials.
All participants will be considered for David's performer database, and may be asked to audition, via email and MP3, for the dozens of radio, TV, video game and new media projects David casts each month. His current and past casting projects have included America Online, Google, Gateway, Volkswagen, THQ, EA, Warner Home Video, Sony, Radio Shack, Papa Johns, ABC/Disney and hundreds more.
Lawrence is also a working actor and workshop participant in Los Angeles, with heavily recurring roles on NBC's Heroes, ABC's LOST, CBS' CSI and The Unit and more.
In addition to the performance during the seminar, participants will learn about demo creation strategy, home and portable studio equipment, how to market their voice services with or without an agent, and how the face of voice work is changing dramatically. Experienced voice actors will learn how the marketplace for their services is being changed by companies like Google. The workshop is open to all: SAG, AFTRA, and non-union actors regardless of level of experience.
