Description

WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?

Join award-winning documentary photographer James Millar for a half-day workshop getting up close and personal with your DSLR camera. You bought the camera, have read the instructions, but it’s all still a bit of a mystery. The thing you need is camera confidence. Award winning photographer James Millar should come with every new DSLR camera. This is the next best thing!

WHAT WILL I BE LEARNING?

You’ll start with the basics: learning how the camera works. Understand exposure so you have full control, get to know your apertures from your shutter speeds and what is behind all this ISO business. Learn about focal lengths, which lenses are best for which shots, even depth of field gets a look in. This is a packed half-day, starting in the studio before it’s time to put your newfound skills into practice out on (yes really) location. Don’t panic if you can’t remember it all. Notes will be provided to take away and digest later.

THE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS

The 4 hour session starts in a studio in east London before heading out on location to put what you've learnt into practise. Sessions take place once per month on a weekend. Each workshop caters for up to 10 people. This class is for adults. Get in touch if you would like to buy this gift for someone under 16.
